Happy New Year, and greetings from Blau Schnorkel Studio in Sydney — and I hope for all of us that 2021 is less challenging a year than 2020. Last year I ran Zoom tutorials every Tuesday night, focussing on my usual repertoire: black gospel, South African gospel, but adding a bit of Taizé and some original songs to the mix, and it became a very inspiring and fun evening. I’m starting up the sessions again on January 19, 6pm (Sydney time), so if you’re someone who wants a sing and a bit of a challenge, please contact me. Participation is by donation, and once you’re booked in we will give you access to the dedicated Dropbox folder where you will find scores and audio files.
The session runs for an hour or so, but I start the meeting early and play some traditional gospel tracks to get in the mood, so you’re welcome to log on and hear some Soul Stirrers, Kings of Harmony etc.

Some of the songs we covered:

Live So God Can Use You
Don’t Wait On Tomorrow’s Sun
Don’t Wait For Sunday
Dominus Spiritus Est
Thunder
Uyahalalela
The Ship Is At The Landing
Sathane Akanamandla
There Is Room At The Inn
Two Wings

AND – if this doesn’t suit your schedule  but you’d like to participate in another Zoom session with me, or have me work with your group, please contact me. And consider joining me on Patreon, where I offer two Zoom sessions a month, plus other monthly benefits: free score, free audio file, access to my Soundcloud library of rare and unreleased material & more.
