Now that it’s close to Christmas, time for an update on my most recent travels. Jann & I spent an exhilarating month of touring through New Zealand, from Arrowtown to Auckland. I had some wonderful workshops in Arrowtown, Christchurch, Nelson, Wellington, Martinborough, Mana Retreat Centre and Auckland, and took time out in Wanaka, Hawea, Hanmer Springs, Paekakariki, Napier and Rotorua.
I dined out with friends I’ve known from college and university days, and with fellow musicians and singers, and got deeper with a whole lot of new chums — my heartfelt thanks to you all, but a warm thank you to hosts Amanda, Randall, Dexter and Bambam at Mountain Spirit, Hewie and Kirsty in Wanaka, Rob & Liz in Christchurch, Burke and Susan in Nelson, Owen and Marie in Wellington, Fiona and Richard in Paekakariki, and to Vicki and Ed (who makes phenomenal coffee) in Martinborough.
Thanks to Nicky Viggers, Lisa Tui Jonathan, Brian and Giselle Storer, Liz King, Victoria Jones, the Mana Retreat Centre and Heavenbent for workshops and general wrangling. Thanks to Jean for eccles cakes! And a huge thank you to Jann for intrepid driving, intrepid sorting and the many laughs.
