It pains me to report that we’re not taking any singing tours overseas this year… but of course we’re hoping to return to Morocco and Fiji and wherever else next year. Inshallah. There’s a prevailing air of uncertainty that undermines many would-be traveller’s confidence because escalating prices and erratic airline schedules.
We’re constantly asked if we’re taking another Gospel Tour to the USA, but you know what? Since Covid and the current administration, I’m not feeling it. I could be wrong, but I don’t feel confident that  economically, politically, fuel-wise and aviation-wise, things are stable enough there to support a tour. I don’t want to be stranded at Memphis Airport with 45 singers because our flight has been cancelled. (We had an experience like that with the Cafe of the Gate of Salvation back in 1999, and while it ultimately turned into a good story, 7 hours of waiting in hope in an airport concourse was stressful at the time,)
In the meantime, I’ll carry on running workshops all through Australia and NZ  – I’m just back from a brilliant month in NZ – Dunedin/Geraldine/Christchurch/Nelson/Wellington and Auckland – and I’ll be back in the Shakey Isles in November, a short tour of Arrowtown and the marvellously resonant Mana Retreat Centre.
